Why it was recalled

The problem: a crash risk.

NHTSA's defect summary: “Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Can-Am Origin, Can-Am Pulse, 2025-2027 Can-Am Canyon, 2024-2027 Can-Am Spyder RT, and Can-Am Spyder F3 motorcycles equipped with a touchscreen instrument cluster. The instrument cluster may reset, freeze, or go blank. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 123, "Motorcycle Control and Displays," and FMVSS number 122, "Motorcycle Brake Systems."”

The consequence, according to NHTSA: “An inoperative instrument cluster will fail to display critical safety information, such as vehicle speed and warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash.”

What to do

NHTSA: “The instrument cluster software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 12, 2026. Owners may contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning September 22, 2026. The manufacturers number for this recall is 2027-2 & 2026-3.”

Enter your 17-character vehicle identification number (VIN) at nhtsa.gov/recalls or on the manufacturer's site to see whether your vehicle is included. Safety recall repairs are free at an authorized dealer, even if the vehicle is used or out of warranty.
